5 Books You Should Read

Reading is one of my all time favourite things to do! This is a bit of a different post for me, but I am asked all the time for book recommendations. So here are 5 books that I have read over the past year or so, that I absolutely adore. They will each remain in my favourites list for a long time. I would love to share them with you!

So, what are you waiting for, go order, buy or borrow one of these, get cozy, drink coffee (always) and enjoy!!!

(Hint: for your convenience you can click on the images of any of the books and it will take you to where it is sold on Amazon.)

The Magnolia Story, By Chip and Joanna Gaines.

The Magnolia Story, is just an all-round great book! Chip & Jo share their life stories/ testimonies in such a unique way. It’s inspiring, entertaining, funny, insightful & if you don’t already, you will LOVE, Chip & Joanna Gaines! #fixerupperfansunite

Eve, by W.M Paul Young.

I just recently read Eve & it’s honestly one of the most amazing books I’ve ever read. Eve is a novel like no other. It tells the story of creation and God’s love for His people in the most fascinating, thrilling way. It will leave you feeling captivated and in awe of who God is and because of Him, who we are. Every chapter boldly captures the power of identity, Truth & grace. Plus, it’s an absolute page turner. Just read it!

Strengthen Yourself In The Lord, Bill Johnson.

I loved reading Strengthen Yourself In The Lord! As most of us know, Bill Johnson’s words, either in spoken or written form are legendary and this book is no exception. This is my favourite Bill Johnson book though, I just love how he shares his journey of going deeper with God!  It’s incredibly practical, wise, passionate, full of tips & strategies for growing yourself, through relationship with Him. (Disclaimer, buy a new highlighter, because you will need it a lot! 🙂

Looking For Lovely, Annie F. Downs

I just love Annie & everything she writes. She writes as if she’s your best friend sitting across from you at your favourite cafe with your favourite drink! Annie just speaks directly to your heart, but you can’t stop smiling.  Everything she writes is full of revelation and wisdom but told through witty, fun, but also meaningful conversation. You will love Annie!

Speaking of Annie…  If you like Looking For Lovely, you should also check out her other book, Let’s All Be Brave and listen to her podcast, That Sounds Fun.

Who You Are When No One’s Looking, by Bill Hybels.

I read Who You Are When No One’s Looking when I was in “Pour It Out School of Supernatural Ministry.”
It is such a good foundational book on character & well, who you are when no one is looking. It covers a range of character qualities and really focuses on them. Each chapter is life changing if you let it. It impacted me greatly and I know it will for you too.

There you have it, 5 of my favourite books, that I completely recommend! Get reading and let me know what you think.
